RIDGID / AEG 18V Battery Adapter for 3M Speedglas Adflo PAPR
RIDGID / AEG 18V Battery Adapter for 3M Speedglas Adflo PAPR
Couldn't load pickup availability
Overview
This adapter powers the 3M Speedglas Adflo PAPR from any RIDGID 18V or AEG 18V slide-pack battery. Both brands share one pack interface because both lines are built by TTI, and this adapter accepts either without modification. The blower receives full signal data and runs the way it does on the OEM battery. If your crew already carries RIDGID or AEG packs, the respirator now runs on the batteries already in the truck.
Built-in protection against deep discharge of your battery.

Why RIDGID 18V / AEG 18V
RIDGID 18V is the pro-trade battery system sold through Home Depot across North America. AEG 18V is the same hardware carrying the AEG badge in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Crews on both sides of the Pacific run identical packs, so one adapter serves both names. A fabricator who already owns a RIDGID or AEG drill, grinder or impact driver adds a PAPR to the kit without buying a proprietary pack, another charger, or anything with a different plug on it.
On contact design
Spring-loaded pins press sideways against blower terminals and slowly deform them. Once the contacts shift shape, an OEM battery no longer seats correctly. This adapter holds its contacts at OEM-spec geometry with no lateral force on the blower, and vibration is taken up by the latch system instead of the terminal interface.
Electronics
- Active buck converter: regulated output across the full RIDGID/AEG 18V discharge curve
- Deep-discharge protection: cutoff arrives before the pack reaches its minimum cell voltage, so the battery stays healthy for your tools
- Full 3-pin signal emulation: the blower always sees the pack data it expects
Estimated runtime
| RIDGID / AEG 18V Battery | Estimated Runtime |

| 3.0Ah | Up to 10 hrs |
| 5.0Ah | Up to 16 hrs |
| 6.0Ah | Up to 20 hrs |
| 8.0Ah | Up to 26 hrs |

Adapter or dedicated battery?
The adapter is the quickest way to put an Adflo to work on packs you already own, and it doubles as a permanent backup. If the PAPR is part of your daily routine, the dedicated Adflo Li-Ion battery is the cleaner long-term setup: one integrated pack in the standard rail, tool batteries stay with the tools, and a charger comes in the box. A common path is adapter first, dedicated battery later, adapter kept as the spare.
Construction
- Housing: ASA thermoplastic, UV-stable and abrasion-resistant
- Assembly: sealed, screw-free enclosure
- Contacts: OEM-spec geometry
- Latch: modular and field-replaceable
- Manufactured by Mazurov Power Solutions

- AEG 18V slide packs, 2.0Ah through 9.0Ah
- Fits: 3M Speedglas Adflo PAPR (standard battery rail)
- No tools required, no modifications to the PAPR unit
Not compatible with RIDGID 12V or AEG 12V packs: different interface, will not mount
Warranty
12-month replacement warranty from delivery date. If your adapter stops working within that period, and it shows no moisture ingress and no physical damage - including cracks or damage caused by levering or prying with an attached battery - we will replace it or refund you in full. No ambiguity.
FAQ
Q: Do RIDGID and AEG 18V batteries really work in the same adapter?
A: Yes. Both lines share the same slide-pack interface because both are built by TTI. One adapter accepts either brand, and switching between them needs no adjustment.
Q: Which packs give the longest runtime?
A: The 8.0Ah and 9.0Ah class. An 8.0Ah pack runs the blower up to 26 hours under standard conditions, and a 9.0Ah pack runs slightly longer.
Q: Will older RIDGID 12V or NiCd-era packs fit?
A: No. The adapter is built for the 18V slide-pack interface only. 12V packs and older pod-style packs use different rails and will not mount.
Q: Can the adapter drain my tool batteries too far?
A: No. Deep-discharge protection cuts off before the pack reaches its minimum cell voltage, so the battery stays safe for your tools.
Q: Is OCTANE support automatic?
A: OCTANE packs are 18V Max Select packs. They mount and power the blower like any other pack in the family.
Q: How do I mount and remove it?
A: Slide the adapter onto the Adflo battery rail until the latch locks, then insert your RIDGID or AEG pack. Removal is the reverse and needs no tools.
Q: I use the PAPR every day. What is the best setup?
A: Run the dedicated Adflo Li-Ion battery as the primary pack and keep this adapter as the backup. The Adapter or dedicated battery section above explains the trade-off.
