Overview

This adapter powers the 3M Speedglas Adflo PAPR from any DeWalt 12V MAX slide-pack battery. The blower receives full signal data and runs the way it does on the OEM battery. 12V MAX packs are the smallest batteries DeWalt makes, so the whole setup stays light on the belt, with runtime that covers inspection work, short shifts and backup duty.

Why DeWalt 12V MAX

The 12V MAX line is DeWalt's compact platform, built for service techs, HVAC crews, electricians and aviation trades who carry small drivers, impact wrenches and inspection tools all day. Those pocket packs ride in the same pouch as the tools, and now one of them runs the respirator too. For a technician who already owns the 12V MAX family, this adapter adds PAPR capability without a bigger battery, a second charger family, or any change to the tool kit.

On contact design

Contacts built with spring tension keep pushing into the blower's terminal block, and the metal eventually takes a set. After enough install cycles an OEM pack stops seating the way it did on day one. The contacts here are cut to the OEM style and transfer no addition load.

Electronics

  • Deep discharge protection - 12V MAX cell is never drawn below its rated minimum
  • Full 3-pin signal emulation - blower receives correct data at all times
  • No voltage conversion stage: the Adflo blower accepts 12V MAX pack voltage directly, so there is no regulator to fail.

Estimated runtime

DeWalt 12V MAX Battery Estimated Runtime
2.0Ah Up to 5 hrs
3.0Ah Up to 7 hrs
5.0Ah Up to 12 hrs

*Based on standard Adflo operating conditions with new OEM filters at room temperature.

Adapter or dedicated battery?

For an occasional job or a trial run, the adapter wins: no new battery to buy, just the packs already in the van. Daily respirator users usually graduate to the dedicated Adflo Li-Ion battery, which lives on the rail permanently and ships with its own charger. A service-tech pattern worth copying: dedicated pack on the hood for real shifts, 12V adapter rolled up in the bottom of the bag for the day things go sideways.

Construction

  • Shell molded from ASA thermoplastic: shrugs off UV, scuffs and solvent wipe-downs
  • Enclosure snaps together without a single screw to back out
  • Contact block designed to OEM style
  • Latch module swaps out in the field if it ever takes a hit
  • Built by Mazurov Power Solutions

Compatibility

  • DeWalt 12V MAX slide packs, standard and XR: DCB122 2.0Ah, DCB124 3.0Ah, DCB127 5.0Ah and matching family packs
  • Charges on your existing DeWalt 12V MAX charger (DCB1102-class)
  • Fits: 3M Speedglas Adflo PAPR (standard battery rail)
  • No tools required, no modifications to the PAPR unit

Not compatible with DeWalt 20V MAX or 18V packs: different interface, will not mount

Warranty

12-month replacement warranty from delivery date. If your adapter stops working within that period, and it shows no moisture ingress and no physical damage - including cracks or damage caused by levering or prying with an attached battery - we will replace it or refund you in full. No ambiguity.

FAQ

Q: Is 12V MAX the same as 10.8V?
A: Yes. DeWalt sells the same platform as 12V MAX in North America; the pack is 10.8V nominal. The adapter works with every pack in that family.

Q: Will an 18V or 20V MAX DeWalt battery fit?
A: No. The 12V MAX and 20V MAX families use different slide interfaces. If you run 20V MAX packs, see the DeWalt 20V MAX adapter listed in Related products.

Q: How long will a pack really last?
A: A 3.0Ah pack runs about 7 hours and a 5.0Ah pack about 12 hours under standard conditions with new filters. Full-shift daily users should look at the 18V or 20V adapters or the dedicated battery.

Q: Can the adapter drain my tool batteries too far?
A: No. Deep-discharge protection cuts off before the pack reaches its minimum cell voltage, so the battery stays safe for your tools.

Q: Is the XR line supported?
A: Yes. XR packs are 12V MAX slide packs and mount the same way as standard packs.

Q: How do I mount and remove it?
A: Seat the adapter on the Adflo rail, listen for the latch click, drop in the pack. Taking it off is the same two steps in reverse, hands only.

Q: Which pack should I buy for this adapter?
A: If you already own 12V MAX tools, use those packs. If you are buying fresh, the 3.0Ah DCB124 is the balanced choice for inspection shifts.
