Makita's official lineup tops out at 6Ah in the single-pack 18V format. These high-capacity variants are designed for users who need extended runtime or high sustained current without switching to Makita's dual-battery 36V configuration.

All variants use verified high-grade 21700 lithium-ion cells — capacity and discharge ratings on the label correspond exactly to what is inside the pack.

At this capacity tier, discharge current determines suitability for specific applications. A 30A pack used in a sustained high-draw tool will voltage-sag under load and degrade faster than designed. If your application involves large grinders, demolition tools, or high-torque impacts, the High Output 8Ah is the correct choice. If runtime is the priority with moderate tool draw, the Long-Run 10Ah delivers maximum working time.
